QC Concerts is a Charlotte, NC based theatre company committed to presenting concert-style productions of plays and musicals. With a focus on preserving the work, QC Concerts seeks to push the envelope on live theatre, expanding the audience's appreciation for art by exploring the text and lyrics that make theatre challenge your beliefs, expand your viewpoint, and listen with your heart.

  • 2020

    QC: [Quarantine] Concerts was born out of a simple desire for friends to connect online through music when going to the theatre wasn’t possible. What started as a simple Instagram post became a live-streamed concert platform with a simple message: to bring theatre to you, LIVE.

    2021

    QC [Queen City] Concerts was created out of the live-stream, quarantine platform. With a shift to full length productions of plays and musicals, QC Concerts presents material in a concert style setting. Every note, every lyric, every line is preserved and delivered without the constraints of sets, costumes, furniture, etc.

  • January 23, 2022: our first production premiered at Free Will Craft + Vine. Season one ran from January to March, 2022 and featured three musicals:

    January 2022: TICK, TICK…BOOM!

    February 2022: MURDER BALLAD

    March 2022: ORDINARY DAYS

  • Season Two kicked off in in July 2022 and ran through May 2023. Over 116 actors, 47 musicians, and 17 production staff members brought this season to life.

    July 2022: KINKY BOOTS (Regional Premiere)

    October 2022: TITANIC

    November 2022: 35MM: A MUSICAL EXHIBITION (Regional Premiere)

    February 2023: CRUEL INTENTIONS (Regional Premiere)

    March 2023: HEAD OVER HEELS (Regional Premiere)

    May 2023: ANGELS IN AMERICA, PARTS 1 and 2
